Apollo offers flexible twistable waveguide from WR-28 to WR-284. The core of the waveguide consists of a silver-plated brass strip formed and helically wound around a rotating mandrel. This construction allows for twistability and simultaneous flexibility in both planes. To ensure pressurization, environmental protection (IP68), and greater mechanical support, the core is enveloped in a neoprene or silicone jacket, depending on the temperature requirement. Both standard and customized flanges are available. The waveguide assemblies are chemically treated to protect against corrosion, and are RoHS compliant. Each assembly is pressure tested and then placed on a network analyzer to examine its electrical performance and tuned for wide or specific frequency bands to optimize the V.S.W.R.
