Apollo is proud to announce the recent development of a dual L/S Band circular polarized feed assembly, operating from 1.5 to 2.5 GHz. The unique diplexer and polarizer design was crucial in reducing the overall envelope of the feed assembly to below 5 ft.

Apollo has designed and manufactured a WR-90 half-height monopulse comparator for use in the radar defense industry. The compact, flat plate, thin wall design was made possible via our advanced manufacturing techniques. The result is an extremely accurate solution providing excellent phase tracking over the entire band, extremely low and balanced insertion loss, and exceptionally balanced power splitting between the 4 output ports.

Apollo has moved into a new 60,000 square foot, fully integrated facility near Montreal, Quebec. The new premises are 240% larger than Apollo’s previous location. All of the nearly 150 engineers, draftspersons, technicians, manufacturing, sales and administration personnel will be housed under one roof.

 

The move into a new facility was spurred by the need to increase production capacity to satisfy customer requirements for quick deliveries. The new facility provides much needed space for Apollo’s new equipment acquisitions – additional high precision, flexible machining centers - which increase manufacturing capacity by 200%, and are scheduled to be fully operational in November of 2010. The new plant layout has been optimized for the most efficient transition from raw material to finished product, and embodies the principles of lean manufacturing. Additionally, it comprises many environmentally responsible features, including energy efficient lighting, heating, and ventilation systems.
